A Christmas Celebration

Our Schedule of Events for Christmas

Cocoa Beach Christmas Parad

Our celebration begins with our participation in the Cocoa Beach Annual Christmas Parade on December.  Each year we decorate floats, have our CZ Praise Band entertain and ride in celebration of Christ. If you’d like to help prepare this year’s presentation and be part of the parade sign up at the Church Welcome Center or send us an email using the Contact Form at the bottom of this page.

Annual Live Nativity At Club
Zion December 24th

You are invited to join us for the Annual Club Zion “Live Nativity” taking place in front of the church on the evening of December 24th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. The nativity is open to the public and there is no cost to attend.

Please invite your friends and family to experience a journey back in time to the town of Bethlehem and become a witness to the sights and sounds of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. The nativity consists of a series of displays that you can walk through and interact with the nativity cast members who will remain in character as they speak with you.

  • First you will be greeted by 2 Roman Soldiers who are taking the Roman Census;
  • Then you will pass by shepherds in the fields of Bethlehem;
  • After you pass through the fields and interact with the local shepherds you will enter the town of Bethlehem;
  • In the town, you can visit the Inn where Joseph and Mary were told that there was no room for them.You can mingle with the Inn Keeper and the people who are staying at the inn;
  • There will be a market place where the local people will be able to interact with you and guide you through the town;
  • There will be a group of “people of the day” hanging around a fire pit sharing Scriptures, totally unaware that the Savior has been born;
  • You can visit the stables where the manger is located and you will be able to interact with Mary, Joseph, the Wisemen and shepherds.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
December 24th, 7:00 PM

Our celebration concludes with a very special candlelight worship service by Pastor Keith Capizzi and the full CZ Praise Band beginning at 7:00pm.  As you pass from the streets of Bethlehem you’ll enter the beautiful Club Zion Sanctuary dressed for this most special of occasions, the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Why We Celebrate

Christmas is a time for joy and glorious celebration at Club Zion as we gather to rejoice in the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. We know this from the words of the angel who appeared to the shepherds of Bethlehem

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the
city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord”

Luke 2:10-11

The explanation for why God sent Jesus to earth is found in His own words

“For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

God’s love is the entire reason we celebrate Christmas, a recognition that He came to earth so we could come to know Him, trust Him and enjoy a personal relationship with Him. Created in His image, we have the ability to love Him back and experience the beauty of the world He made for us.

It is our greatest desire that you join with us and share the “great joy” in fellowship with other Christians as we celebrate all that is Christmas.
